Food Activities

The Food Activities unit covers Danish Agro's food product activities under HEDEGAARD foods A/S and DanHatch A/S.

HEDEGAARD foods is the market leader in Denmark, Sweden and the Faeroes within production, processing, packing and distribution of fresh eggs plus pasteurised and boiled egg products. Exports also go to Greenland, Finland, Norway, Germany, the Czech Republic and Holland.

DanHatch produces 135 million day-old chicks per year, making it one of the biggest and efficient hatcheries in Europe.

The Food Activities division accounted for 6% of group turnover of EUR 3.4 billion in 2013.
